Creating functional pottery for those who delight in holding and using something beautiful and carefully crafted

Current Work
Working with clay is an exercise in letting go of prescription. Individual pieces of pottery are exactly that: individual. They are products of a particular ball of clay, a particular kiln firing, and a particular moment in time, in the year, and in my body. Though that does not mean pottery is without formula… or measurements, or timeline planning! It simply means my work as a clay artist varies, and although there are a few forms I most often make, I like experimenting with other shapes, and I tend to show up at the wheel with whatever I am inspired to create in a given day.
Below you can visit some of my more regular forms — vases, mugs, and bowls — and find me at a market or in my studio to see what’s new.
